There are oral forms of it our there, too, but there aren't good studies yet to prove that it works as well as the injections. It's definitely something that not all will do, but it's worth it if you're willing to take the risk. It's too bad that this miracle cure had to be brought back into the light by someone as distrustful as Trudeau. Research Simeons, though, and you'll find out about the real "cure" and won't have to line this con artist's pockets in the process.

but it does work. It's just too bad that it's wrapped up in the stench that surrounds Trudeau. Trudeau's claims that the HCG is easy to get are just plain wrong--you have to either be lucky enough to have a doctor you can convince (I did but I'm in the very small minority, unfortunately) or be willing to order from an online foreign pharmacy. You have to do the injections yourself.

If you Google it you'll find free copies all over the internet and they explain how to do this exactly. Trudeau wrapped the original, well-researched plan with his own additions to the program, including the insane "phase 1" with it's cleanses/colonics/massages/etc that no one has the time/money for. I followed Simeons' original plan and lost 30 pounds in 6 weeks. You have to be totally commited,

Kevin Trudeau is indeed a scummy scam artist, but he stole his entire premise for this book from a brilliant doctor named Simeons, whose plan works. HCG injections (which are not illegal in the US--my doctor prescribed it for me, but it's tough to get a doctor to do it for you) combined with the 500 calorie diet does really work. But you don't have to waste your money buying this book. Simeons original manuscript is called Pounds and Inches.

hy are some people so enamored with Phase 1? The reason is that it's simple and to the point. You don't have to do a lot of thinking about food choices. You're basically eating lean protein, high-fiber legumes, low-fat dairy, good fats (including some nuts), and plenty of vegetables. Those highly processed refined carbs that were your downfall are out of sight and, within a few days, out of mind (at least for most people). You're encouraged to eat until you're full and snack before you get hungry. And every time you step on the scale, you get a big grin on your face because those unwanted pounds and fat are just melting away. So it's not surprising to me that Phase 1 fans often ask, "If I'm doing so well on Phase 1, why do I have to move on to Phase 2?" Phase 1 is not meant to be a long-term eating plan. Its dual goals are to jump-start weight loss for people who have 10 or more pounds to lose (thus providing immediate positive reinforcement) and to control swings in blood sugar and eliminate cravings for sugar and refined starches. Phase 1 can also have a positive effect on sugar in people with pre-diabetes. In just 2 weeks, you should have achieved these two goals and be ready to move on.


Once your sugar and cravings are under control, there's a key reason to go on to Phase 2: we don't want you to miss out on the myriad vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that come from reintroducing whole fruits and whole grains to your diet, not to mention the added fiber. These foods contain thousands of phytochemicals that protect your body against a host of diseases, including heart disease and cancer. If you were to continue indefinitely on Phase 1 and deny yourself these foods, you would not be learning how to make good food choices in the real world. More importantly, you'd be missing out on some of the best medicine nature has to offer.

The book is fast reading and to the point. This is not the kind of diet everyone can handle, but it worked wonders for my husband and me. We are in our 50's and I have struggled with my weight most of my life. I expected minimal results but was pleasantly surprised that I lost 11 lbs. the first two-week fast and 14 lbs. the second with the recommended three weeks in between fasts. There was no yo-yo effect afterwards. We are just entering our third fast and look forward to utilizing this method to achieve and maintain our ideal weight.
Not having solid food for two weeks at a time is a major deal to many people. But think about how much time during the day is taken up in planning, purchasing, preparing, eating and cleaning up after meals. Fasting is almost a vacation to a busy person. Also, the savings in food more than makes up for the cost of the supplement. I'm familiar with other liquid diet programs that have comparable if not higher costs associated with them. To skeptics, I would have to say "Don't knock it until you've tried it."

I read Alma goes on the Turbo Diet & The Turbo-Protien Diet. They were a very fast read and similar. Alma goes on the Turbo Diet was very simple in its approach while The Turbo-Protien Diet was more technical.
I have tried many, many diets. I started this program last Sunday at 153pds. I am 5'7". I feel most comfortable at 130pds. As of today, I am at 145.5 (7.5pds lighter). I have a lot of energy.
HOWEVER, this is NOT a diet for anyone that has never drank protein shakes. Before the diet, I had 1 a day and a protein bar. The mixture from this diet tastes much worse than a regular protein shake. I am now very comfortable with the taste. The first day was the worse--determining amounts of powder to water.
I am really happy and will be on it for 7 more days. I work out 30-40 minutes a day normally and still have the energy to do so.
